FarmCompany converts to 100% green energy

Vejen, Denmark, 17 June 2019, 11:15am – FarmCompany A/S today confirms its latest step towards sustainability.

“As of June 2019, all our farms are using wind turbine green energy”, stated proudly the Chairman of FarmCompany A/S, Mr. Jens Ohnemus.

“We have consciously gone the extra mile to incorporate green energy across the company. Apart from the wind-powered energy in our farm buildings, our new headquarter in Vejen municipality in south-west of Denmark benefits from geothermal-powered soil heating. Furthermore, farm waste is delivered to local biogas plants and subsequently contributing to heating the houses in the local community”, continued Mr. Ohnemus.

“Sustainable farming methods are at the center of our attention at FarmCompany. Our impact investors keep a close eye on how we address some of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which we also detail in our Impact & Sustainability Report”, concluded Mr. Ohnemus.
